bugS was singing in english, my point was that the barber of seville is ridiculously famous. not knowing what language its in is like not knowing who wrote the iliad and the odyssey.

but it isnt a generalization that most operas are in italian, its statistical fact especially considering opera was born in italy, that doesnt mean i didnt know operas were not written in different countries or languages
