William Holden as Roger Thornhill is interesting, but I doubt he could have done the light comedic parts in the movie as effectively. Also, Grant did not look that old to 1957 audiences. Older people today look a bit younger than they did in the '50's and '60's. Eva looks quite mature and sophisticated but was quite young. There's a bit of this phenomenon when I look at Mad Men...they guys just look older then they are.

Grant was far too old to play Thornhill. Should have used a better actor like William Holden.

I've always been baffled as to why there was no music in the scene. The score for this movie is thrilling and exciting. The scene could have been ten times better had the music been placed to add suspense.

Not that it's a bad scene or anything.

No, it was worse than that, even, but I won't go into details becuase it's only a rumour. It actually had something to do with young women.

Was that the rumour about him sexually abusing Barbara Hutton's son?

I think "To Catch a Thief" is on here. That's a must see.

Well, I also like the movies of Judy Garland, Lauren Bacall, and Veronica Lake.

How about you?
