Houdini--the Niagra Falls stunt

This was from the film "The Man From Beyond" (1922). There's no camera tricks or fail-safes in this stunt, folks: Houdini and his co-star (Jane Connelly) really were that close to the edge of the falls, and almost did get swept over. I think Houdini underestimated how powerful the Niagara Falls current would be--otherwise he would have taken better precautions, at least for his co-star.
