This engine would be great to use in a gas electric hybrid. Just have it oriented accross a planetary gear system to the electric drive motor, like in the Lexus RX400H.

From the order of assembly of the components it is not physically possible to assemble this engine. The exhaust gate has to be assembled to the combustion chamber prior to fitting it to the cylinder head. At which point there is no access to fit the cylinder out let valve and the 4 securing bolts under the gate can not be accessed.

Just use hydraulic pressure. Modern engines hardly need clearance adjustment.
