Hmm, that's true. That's why I don't use KDE, it just too slow.

I dunnno, if i've paid through the nose to get a decent system, means i get pissed when something like an animation take away my hard - earned processor cycles.

I tend to disable the fancy animations. I like my system to be responsive...

My system is by no means powerful, but I can run Ubuntu with all effects enabled and it is still very responsive. But I don't really want all of the extra effects. Oh look, it's raining outside, lemme turn on the waterworks. lol
