i always thought this video was the son trying to show his father what he was feeling. constantly traveling (for work). though they are always together, they really arent. but i love reading what other people have to say.

I think this song and video are about whatever you want them to be about. The best pieces of art always leave their meaning open to your own interpretation.

Yeah that sounds like it's true. I thought the dad looked and acted extremely depressed, so i thought he was suffering from depression. And the kid felt he needed to take responsibility so he's helping him and taking care of him, and in the end he goes to a hospital etc.. But everybody else has very good points on what it could be about. Nobody has the same point. There's no clear meaning to the video, so I think you're right. :)
