Don't laugh too much at those fashions - they might come back in a couple of years! A very guilty pleasure. This one's for you, Steve! ;-)

Sally Carr has a great voice and is very pretty. But to suggest ABBAs success was due to marketing is incorrect - because their songs are so enduring. If Sally had recorded the ABBA songs they would have sounded better though.
That drummer is one scary dude with that high-hat technique of his, which, I noted elsewhere, he's apparently still employing 30+ years later on their reunion appearances. Kind of like Keith Moon as an autistic.
They were a rather similar group but in the end Abba's Scandinavian Cool combined with superior marketing won out. Yet to my mind Sally Carr's voice was way way better than anything the Abba girls were capable of (and don't get me wrong, I loved Abba!)
