you know that if you like the song because it relates to there life. this is just a scam to make u like it , you think that it has a meaning and it meant alot to the singer. all of trents song make him sound depressed but he happy living with who ever he is dating or married to. this is all about money. nin version is still better
thats a fair statement but just think the amount of shit going through trents life when he WROTE this song. when u think back on the shit that must have been going through his head when he wrote this i think it gives it a deeper meaning and more feeling. my opinion though :)
This is all right, but I just really gotta say, I prefer cash's cover. I mean, he just poored in a real, full life of pain and regrets, as he looked death in the face, and you can really feel it. this original version has some of that too, but they're just a little too young to have that lifetime of regrets that Cash did.they have a future, cash died shortly after doing his, and you can really feel it.
but I find it interesting how some covers overcome the originals in the eye's of most. like few really remember that Bob dylan did all along the watchtower before Jimi.
