That's really cool. Some decent weight being shifted even back then. Got to say I liked the tyre toss. It's one of those freaky events that make strongman (sumo, pole push fight,arm wrestling etc). It's not powerlifting but a more general strength.

This was when the WSM was in its infancy and some of the events were pretty ridiculous. The WSM event has come a long way since then.
