Naomi Klein is some kind of genius! She has penetrating insight, AND can put her insights into accessible language and idiom. I wish she were running for president, but I'm sure she knows much better than to wish for that headache. As does Gore.

We all have to condemn the political and economical disenfranchisement of the Iraqis and ackknowledge their struggle to be allowed to exert their democratic rights.

Naomi...please come and visti Germany as well! We need someone like you who dares to talk about the complexity of the crimes against democracy that the US government is commiting in Iraque.
The neoliberal programs that condemn a whole people to slavery under the weight of an enormous unjust debt with international shareholders needs to be discussed in the open.

He's not against all social programs, but he is for removing all the extremely wasteful government programs. As I said before, I don't agree with all his views but he's the only candidate who hasn't sold his soul to corporate interests. We need someone like him to get rid of the waste, and then we can start putting in some social programs that are actually run efficiently.

Slowly defunding government social programs until they're pretty decayed, and then pointing to it and saying "look what a bad job government does of this!. We must privatize it!" is a sort of con that's been going on for about 20 years. The end result can be seen in a lot of South & Central American countries (massive poverty for most, super-wealth for the rich, and nobody in the middle class).
