http://www.socialistworker.... Hundreds of protestors attempted to storm the Bank of England and Royal Exchange before marching round the City and bring traffic to a halt.

Odd how these people are saying that the banks should be allowed to collapse yet they still castigate Thatcher for allowing the mining industry to die out. As a libertarian capitalist, I didn't support the bailout. But you lefties still insult Mrs T for letting the mining industry die out, despite the fact it had been dying out since the World War 1.

You do know there is still more coal in Britain than most the countries we import it from? Its just cheaper to pay oppressed workers from another nations to do it. Thatcher knew it damn well thats why she left the miners to rot. She had an economic slump and she sold us out to pay for it.

Im a "lefty" I say if we had the money (which we really don't) buy the banks out and put them on course for the good of the people.

your spot on. Bank of england = slave to the wage, taxes (for the elite), exploitation of 2 thirds of the world and mass world poverty.
