What a Voice! Such a sad ending, may she rest in "peace"

i thought when i heard Elvis sing this song i thought wow that man could sing but after hearing this version i have to take my hat of to Timi just like Elvis pure class.

As a singer and touring performer. Opening act, 2 shows a night B/S The 2 songs that were the hardest for me to perform were HURT by Ms Yuro and Bridge Over Troubled Waters by S and G. With Hurt you had to come in on the note Cold. Hard to do. Bridge you had to reach a crescendo. Both hard to do. Elvis covered both of these songs. But, I love Elvis, but he didn t do them as well. ;o; And people, neither did I.

I agree with everyone, Timi Yuro had one of the greatist voices in all of musical history. Has been so enjoyable to see her video's on YouTube. Handing down this amazing talent to a new generation is great.

Without doubt, Timi Yuro's recording of "Hurt" is one of the few songs that once it is heard, is never forgotten. When this song was first released, my identical, twin brother and I played the record continuously until it was worn out. Like Timi, he was taken from this world much too soon, and although it will always 'hurt' that they are gone, her voice, even in its hauntingly painful manner, strengthens me and retrieves memories from the past that were long gone. My sincere thanks for the post.

Even when I was a kid I knew that this was a very special song by a very special singer (& I was right for a change!).
