This was actually a very good, down to earth press conference he held. He did not apologize for his actions because it seemed he sincerely did what he thought was best at the time. Mistakes were made but atleast he can say that he stuck to his decisions and was not swayed by the winds of public opinion. Whether or not you agreed with him, it seems here he is showing incredible integrity. He really came off as a real american here.

He does actually make a good point about not going to Louisiana during Katrina. Had he landed AF1 there, many of the police officers would have been required to safeguard him thus inabling them to attend to the city's welfare.
