@SwordsOfTruth it's a TV show and a movie. And even if it was it would be done like Lord of the Rings where things had to be changed. Even the Harry Potter moives had to change things.

agreed. the books are great and the show is great. if you can just get over the fact that the show is "based" on the books, it'll be more enjoyable. i for one look forward to the day when TG writes more SoT books, and he will mark my words ;)

@MsElfkin Unless you are going to make 11 movies it would not work on the big screen. You have to change things from the books for it to work. The TV show can never go by the books altogether. They would need 11 seasons for that and if they don't want to go for 11 seasons then what. Terry Goodkind has said the books are the books and the TV show is the TV show. I like that I can read the books and watch the TV show and not feel like the story is being given away to me.

I dont understand why so many complaints. I think that the Legend of the Seeker is a fantastic show. We have not had such a good magic / adventure show since Charmed or Xena: Warrior Princess.
