Jón Páll vs Capes: 1984 Part 1/2 (Truck Pull)

Jón Páll Sigmarsson and Geoff Capes battled for the title World Strongest Man for a few years. They were two good friends off the field but on the field they were animals.

Their second battle was in 1985 (for the title WSM 1984) in Mora in Sweden. The competition was held at a location where it was freezing and there was snow everywhere. For some of the strongmen these circumstances were new.

Jón Páll had trained hard before the competition and he beat Capes and Capes lost his crown.

Daniel Poulin shows exactly not how to do this event. WAY TOO HIGH IN THE BODY making it way too tough for himself.

It really looks like the brakes on the red truck were not releasing properly. Doesnt matter though, because the best two were on the blue truck anyway.  Just a shame for the others.
