Hello everyone, I am ATRon The Gamer, and in this video I explain how you can create the Staff of Herding in Diablo 3 on Normal mode. In this video I will go over what each of the items that are required to make the Staff of Herding are, and how to acquire each one of them. The Staff of Herding is required in order to access Whimsyshire. Also keep in mind that while my video portrays me getting all the items on my first attempt I definitely did not get them all on my first try! Each item took several attempts with some taking longer than others (My 2 biggest struggles with acquiring the materials necessary were with Leoric's Shinbone and The Gibbering Gemstone!) so keep in mind that you may need to remake the game several times to acquire each necessary item.

This is how to make the staff in order to access Whimsyshire.

Act 1 - Leoric's Shinbone and Black Mushroom - Take waypoint to Leoric's Manor, backtrack towards the entrace of the building and go into the room to the North East that is to the side of the stairs. Check the fireplace for Burnt Logs *THIS IS AN INTERACTIVE OBJECT* and Leoric's Shinbone should drop for you. The Black Mushroom is found in Cathedral Level 1 and to get there take the Cathedral Gardens waypoint. Go into Leoric's Manor and South West towards Cathedral Level 1. The Black Mushroom spawns inside one of the rooms in Cathedral Level 1 it may be a specific room, or completely random.

Act 2 - Wirt's Bell and Liquid Rainbow - Wirt's Bell is acquired by purchasing it from the little girl Merchant (Squirt the Peddler) in Act 2 for 100,000 gold. The Liquid Rainbow is acquired by taking the waypoint to Path of the Oasis. Once there follow the path that is connected to waypoint and hug the south wall until you come across another path that leads south. Go all the way down the path and if you're fortunate enough you'll find Zavan, if not remake the game. Zavan will open the door above him for you and you can go inside the Mysterious Cave Level 1. Once inside you'll want to look for a Mysterious Chest which should contain the Liquid Rainbow. *THE CHEST SPAWNS IN LEVEL 1 OF THE MYSTERIOUS CAVE AND DOES NOT HAVE 100% SPAWN RATE NOR DOES THE LIQUID RAINBOW HAVE A 100% DROP RATE*

Act 3 - Gibbering Gemstone - Kill Chilltara *DOES NOT SPAWN EVERY TIME* in level 2 of Caverns of Frost *DOES NOT DROP EVERY TIME* *ICEFALL CAVES IS WORTHLESS FOR ATTAINING THE GIBBERING GEMSTONE*

Act 4 - Plan: Staff of Herding - In order to acquire the Plan: Staff of Herding, you're going to need to go to Act 4 and kill Izual. If he does not drop the pattern, keep remaking the game until he does.

If you've just made the staff, that is the NORMAL lvl staff. You can use it to go to the Pony level on NORMAL mode. To go in the Pony Level in Nightmare, Hell and Inferno, you must upgrade the staff.

Anyway, if you're looking for D3 farming, found a few nice methods, here:

Okay, i have now killed Izzy about 15 times. finally figured out the 2 things i did wrong. 1st- you HAVE to be max blacksmithing. and you have to let him start the fight. aka dont insta 1 shot him asap. worked like a charm for me.
