Craig Ferguson - Colorado Shooting Opener

July 20, 2012 - After a mass shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater, Craig tapes a new opener to a pre-recorded show, choosing as well to eliminate the originally planned monologue.

He reflects my own philosophy of life - What you do, what you say can affect and diminish everyone, not just the immediate victims.

As always, Craig demonstrates what it means to be a cosmic positive.

You should do a YouTube search for Craig speaking about alcoholism, voting, 9/11, Charlie Sheen, his eulogies to each of his parents, his conversations with Desmond Tutu and Stephen Fry, and many other instances of Craig being serious. You're missing an entire facet of his personality if you only know the "cheeky monkey".

I thought of this video after the shootings yesterday at the Connecticut elementary school. Why do such horrible things keep happening? I can only hope that a change will come soon.

i can agree to this. I have a rather Celtic family and my dad plans on having a party for his funeral rather than a sad and depressing wake. Why focus on the bad when you can remember the good times you spent with the people you care about.

Craig is a funny comedian but can be very serious in tragedies like this

While funny, at times, this man can be quite deep in tragedies like this. An amazing man, he is.

You know, this is actually why I respect the hell out of him.

Yeah, he acts like an immature anti-hero at times but...the eulogy of his mother and father, the coming out about his drug and alcohol abuse, the coming out of his near suicide...every bit of human bit of this man is what makes him so charming and why I've been watching the kind, Scottish man for the past 9 years.
