for always being a 'gothic'-type band, she's looking very alternative.. , annette doesn't fit the picture.. they could atleast found a new singer that sings like tarja.. in a opera way that is.. not like a popdiva..

@HeilThaMetalQueen666 There are so many things wrong in your post and I'll start by the most obvious of them all.

1. Nightwish has NEVER been anything related to gothic. Get your facts straight.

2. Stop comparing them. Tarja gave the band a certain taste and Anette brings a whole new taste for the band.

3. Tarja is not, no matter how much you wish it to be, the entire band. So get over it.

4. The music is still good no matter who's in it.

Sorry, i thought when you said it's not difference of voicebox you meant it's difference of talent. I understand they are different types of singers but one isn't better than the other

It's for that reason they can't really be compared, they are different types of singers; both trained and both good in their fields.
I did read about both of them, both were very involved in music since a young age, and college at 18 & 21.. i think they're both trained well.

I met Anette, she s a really sympathic person!!! And I met Tarja and she s also a gentle person...!!!
