The Letter of the Law vs. it's Spirit. Javert is consistant. But the lost lamb is rescued after going astray---not butchered for running off. Judgement w/out mercy is as bad as crime w/out punishment.

Okay, to all who are asking which version this is...allow me to elaborate...

1. This is the 10 anniversary concert edition of the musical which originated in London then made it's way to Broadway...

2. Phillip Quast was part of Neither the London nor the Broadway cast, but the Original Australian cast...
