@ElizabethxPete These are resident killer whales. They don't eat mammals, and have never been observed harassing them unless in groups of 2 or more pods.

I think they understand that we are different and much more dangerous than seals and stuff. Maybe they've seen whale hunting and the word has spread that we're up to no good.

@hobatu

yep, the whale forums spread word of the humans. you are an idiot.

IF they were opportunistic predators, they would surely take advantage of a slow moving snorkeller.

maybe they realised we have no fucking meat on our bodys and over 200 bones, so the 1000's of tasty fish which is fun for them to catch is more appetising?

Why wouldn't whales talk to each other about what people do? We know that crows do, telling each other about specific distinctly looking persons to avoid. Know of the cave man mask experiment?

Welcome to the natural world.

of course they communicate, but there is no chance they think we're dangerous when in the water like that, it's a killer fucking whale which is capable of eating sharks and bigger whales, we're a worse meal than a medium sized fish, i guess it's realised the easier to catch, the worse it tastes.

Whales are smart. Reason and consequence. They will be killed.

if you saw a small space alien, hovering in front of you after it just exited it's spaceship, would you try to kill it with a hammer?... then go to see what it tastes like?
