It's German high strength PC plastic. Much stronger than the casting aluminum. See how many Freelines had their plates chipped off.

the freeline skates are made from aircraft grade aluminum not just cast aluminum and they can handly forces in excess of 3000 lbs i dont see how these plastic wheels can handle that.....

I bet $1000 Freeline is made of casting aluminum unless they just came out a new model. Cast molding cannot use aircraft aluminum.
