Um, this was posted 4 years ago. I surely hope someone's been faster by now.

And why do people still comment on the taillights?! This is NOT a street car, and the track only requires one rear light so the starter can see you at night when you exit the track (or if you don't for some reason).

I zoomed in during the pass, this gives the illusion that the car isn't going as fast as it is. Also the clock boards in Roswell are just past the 1/8mi, this can be confusing in vids. The car isn't FWD so I don't know why you reference one? This was also during time trials, and racers are allowed to pick their own number or none at all. There will only be a small one written on the passenger side window and maybe the windshield.

I went to the website and looks like he did, 8.74@168mph

according to the site he made 1093hp on 31psi. Theres only two thers who put down more power, a red VR4 making 1168hp and one thats for sale by Nelson Performance that made 1074hp on 93 octane fuel (3.6L stroker crank, customsheet metal intake manifold) and 1349hp on 39psi w/the more restrictive factory intake manifold and smaller turbos in their old layout.

Nope This car still holds the 3000gt/stealth world record, in fact it's still the ONLY 8 second 3000gt/stealth.
