Very interesting, would love to take a close look at the katana, as this style may have something simular as Muryo ryu.

Blocking with the blade's edge? Letting the saya hit the ground then drag a little bit? Maybe I'm not familiar ogawa ryu battojutsu, but these seem like things most other sword style teach us to avoid.

Well yes and no kenshin use hiten mitsurugi which emphasis a lot on Battojutsu.

all too true. besides that.. it has been historically proven that most swordfights ended within 30 seconds. measure twice cut once.
