Oh blimey! A real lost classic of the 1980's. So great to see this again. So glad I was around at the time at primary school and obsessed with Duran Duran.

And quite possibly they have the best band name of all time. STRAWBERRY SWITCHBLADE! Yikes! Genius.

Interesting that 90's shoegazers Revolver covered this as a b-side to Venice. Worth investigating too. But no matter who tries no-one will ever better this. This is utterly sublime.

its funny, i have a brother in law who delights in telling me im stuck in the past cos i still love 80's music, yeh i do feel nostalgic, he says all eighties music was naff and he takes the piss, im 44 hes 42 yet he has nothing fond to remember of those times, he mustve led a very hollow existence!! but no matter cos i know hes wrong!!! aha stay on these roads,k mcoll anew england, taja sevil love is contagious, need i go on loser

Well it sounds like your brother in law is trying to be a little to cool for his own good and probably only admits to liking music he thinks makes him cool rather than actually cool, however those of us who have taste will never be ashamed of strawberry switchblade, Kirsty Mc(she died way to young), The Cure etc, class and quality don't age revel in the knowledge he knows nothing :)
