Recorders are flutes(more specifically they belong to the family of instruments known as fipple flutes).

They're still called recorders though, not flutes, they're a different instrument so makes it misleading.

You smell bad: no hoax here, the sound is just delayed compared to the image.

If it was a hoax, the delay between sound and image would have been always different, while it is always the same here (well... if you are able to realize it, obviously...).
