I'm just learning guitar this year, I really wanted to learn to play funk guitar, so thanks, it's been inspirational.
2 questions:
Who are your influences, and what players have you listened to, in order to get these concepts?

Also, do you have any picking techniques you could share with us for this sound?

Like hard downstrokes with a loop that helps mute the upstroke for emphasis on some notes?

Thank you for asking me. I was influenced from Tower Of Power / Earth, Wind And Fire etc. My technique is not special. If you want to learn funk guitar. You should know Mr. Ross Bolton. He is the greast teacher.
