FATHER SON

Peter Gabriel and his songs are so close to our daily struggles that I can always find myself in the one or the other - especially now at Christmas time I miss my father and maybe me daughter Sophia miss me too.

Send her all my love - she'll always be in my heart wherever I go and whatever I do.

My Dad passed away 10 years ago this week. I was only 35, my Dad was 60. This song has so much meaning, and it did the first time I heard it. For all you sons missing their Dads, listen, look at pictures and try to come to a sense of peace. It's important! Never forget your Dad, through good and bad memories, they usually all tried to be the best Pop that they could. I miss my Dad, a lot!

and had no clue how greatly

I've been broken and lost ever since.
I inherited alot of bad stuff from him but,
alot of good as well, ...

My dad's still around and will hopefully be for a long time to come, but he had to see his own father die in front of his own eyes, he told me himself.

I'll probably will too, but not now, not for a long time please.
