The only true JUG BAND in Japan to adhere to the Golden Age of Chicago Recording style will be releasing their first new album in 6 years! This album, the band's 2nd, captures the essence of 1920 's 78 RPM recordings.

1920年代のLOUISVILLEで発祥したJUG BAND STYLEを当時の78rpm音源を元にその時代背景にまでこだわった国内唯一の本格­的戦前スタイルのジャグバンド。戦前当時LOUISVILLEで活躍しジャグバンド ミュージックシーンに多大な影響を与えた名ジャグ奏者"Earl McDonald"に最も影響を受ける。バンドメンバーは関西を中心に北陸／東海地方­より集まり2000年頃結成。2002年にはDixieland Jug Blowersの黄金期1926年の名曲のみを採り上げた1st Album "Carpet Alley-Breakdown"をリリース。2006年にはジャグバンドの歴史的ド­キュメンタリーフィルム"Chasin' Gus Gohst"にも出演。そして2008年 ６年ぶりとなる2nd Album "THE JUG BAND SPECIAL"をEarl McDonaldに捧げたトリビュートアルバムとしてリリース。現在もマニアックに控­えめに活動中。
