I watched this movie and it really was a great movie... Now, I guess this is a Remake version of the first one, but who really gives a rip. Watch or dont watch, that way, if you dont like the movie you dont have to. I give The Eye 10 out of 10.

Higher budget, I'll give you that... but "atsmopheric tone" of cat-out-of-closet and "Cheesy Fung Shui people" that actually can act compared to Jessica Alba.

Apart from the first Ring, all remakes have been garbage, it's premature to say this one will be, but with this trailer and Jessica Alba leading I'm not expecting much.

Yes, I don't enjoy remakes. If you do, then it's fine (sorry for bashing you over it).

I think A Tale of Two Sisters as a remake, personally, is ridiculous. One of my favourite movies. However... I liked The Eye on first viewing, but I think it's overrated. Great concept, and some very frightening bits, yet too much exposure of ghosts to the audience for it to be *that* effective.
