You lucky bugger getting to see that, I posted a recent note on a Stranglers song tANK from thier Black and White cassette I had I think 1978.
Was Gabriel any good at the concert. the man is a master !?

calum , the connection I feel is certainly not in the lyrics or the actual notes of the song... but in the musical mood it has with a strong riff sustained by organ
In my mind peaches has always reminded me of 'wild child' but it could be because english is not my first language , so my attention was not directed through the lyrics...

Is it my ancient imagination ??? I distincly remember before this brilliant album with Peaches came out I had a tape called TANK, does anyone know if I am dreaming?

I think I remember TANK was an EP, - 4 track single, 45rpm. Think it was around 1978 0r 9.

As for the earlier Door/Stranglers, - the connection is Dave Greenfield and Ray Manzerek in that their styles are similar. Walk on By is very RM.
