Bach was a great composer. And this was arguably his most beautiful composition, IMO.

For the people who say that this is all about god and jesus....yes. it was originally to give praise to jesus.

however, in modern times, those people who argue that this song shouldn't be broadcast is heresy. The main reason why is because this is an AMAZING piece of music, just like the hallelujah chorus. understand that music transcends all boundaries, no matter the content, especially classic music like this composition.

I'm neutral in the conflict between religion and science, but in my opinion, MY opinion, the world would be better off without us trying to make explinations for things that are clearly above our level of understanding. Science gives facts but not cirtanty, religion gives a simple but flawed explination. But come on people, stop arguing over something that can and never will be in our range of explination, nomader what religion or science says.
