yeah that looks like my ultimate expensesive cruise holiday, F@ck that sh@t for a laugh.

cruise ships are designed for passenger safety, and to pretend that engineers make an unsafe ship because "it's only a passenger ship" is ridiculous. you don't know what ballast is, obviously. No ship of that size should be flailing around in those conditions. Proving me correct, there are vids of QE2 in huge seas; it is not bobbing uncontrollably like a cork in a hurricane.

I'm a Naval Architect. I DESIGN this kind of shit. Cruise ship captains are told to avoid heavy seas at all costs. The QE2 is designed to go through heavy seas because of it's long routes. Hell, this damn thing doesn't even have active stabilization, so it's probably a 15-20 year old ship. It's also pretty clear that it's having trouble maintaining a course into the waves. Again, stupid captain in an environment out of the ship's design, probably having mechanical trouble.
