I believe both jets (EF & F22) were plagued with delays :(
It's a shame that money is limiting all our forces these days.

It will be interesting though becuase EF Tranche 3 will be the final product. They have test vector thrus engines their thinking of using although their waying up the pro's 7 cons...i'e cost/weight etc.
T3 will have an increase of about 7-15% I believe.
I don't like the Silent F15 though. like the UK it smells of doing things on the cheap.
Hopefully the financial situation will improve soon and the F22 will get more funds pumped into it.

Yeah this is why it's almost impossible to compare them.
They use different means to accomplish their role. Both are genius.
Nah..in low speed I believe the F22 actually has the tighter turn due to vector thrusts. The EF has a slighty tighter turn @ supersonic speeds.
This is all just us civvies tlking though :)
Cool... so the F22 can sustain 9G indefinitely with out blackout/strctural damage?
We are just happy we have a world class replacement (finally) to the crappy Tornado! lol

They're both 9G aircrafts with high t/w ratios, I don't see what an EF could do at short range that an F-22 couldn't, especially given today's short range missles...I agree they're both brilliant but different fighters though.

Yeah i can get the data from my mate.
I'll PM you it bud. I came across a thread and people knew what they were talking about. They were listing the g limits of the jets and even the EF G suits/boots. The problem is that allot of the F22's capabilities are still classified.
Your correct there being no clear winner as they both have their advantages like I said below.
Their both awesome in different ways.

Do you have any solid data showing this? I've been looking for some, but can't find any. The EF has better wing loading, but the F-22 has a lot of power (especially when the fuel weight is kept down). I don't see a clear winner.

It makes me laugh how every F22/EF vid turns into an argument on which is better.
Their different beasts designed for different purposes.
I must say though that you better hope you have some very good long range missiles on the F22 as it won't take the EF within visual range.
EF can pull sick G's.

There's vids of the EF here which show it's agility & the F22 cannot compete with that aspect.
F22 is awesome though. They will compliment eachother very well.

So the Eurofighter is slightly better than the Raptor... who cares. The trillion dollar debt the Raptor helped creating in the US is financed by China, so they are the real owners of the Raptor fleet anyway.
Welcome to 21st century style pwnage my fellow flight enthousiasts. Been sleeping well lately?
