This isn't ska - it's called "Reggae."

Wasn't this released in 1970? If so, this would be on the borderline of ska and reggae. Anyone who knows the history of this music knows the ska-beat came first and morphed into reggae. The beat of this song leans more toward ska, at least that's what I'm hearing. Ska has been ruined with all the punk crap getting infused into it! Mighty Mighty Bosstones can suck it as far as I'm concerned.

Ignorant about what? I asked you a question plain and simple and instead of answering it, you spout off with that. Well, reggae did start earlier than 1970 didn't it now. Late '60s wasn't it? Ska was more of the early '60s. So see, I'm not THAT ignorant. And The Mighty Mighty Bosstones can still SUCK IT!

My tuppence worth - I'm not an "expert", but I believe the Upsetters had more than one line-up. Most stuff recorded was reggae but they did start off playing ska. Personally I would regard this as reggae, and I would recommend you check out 'Ten penny nail' for a great example of their ska. Enjoy it either way!
