We are lucky to live in Africa. I have a John Whitmore 9ft board. (been dusting it up a bit since i moved away from the coast but I pull it out every chance i get)
Namibian waves are by no means great but hey.. cold ocean and a long board.... sweet

This short clip constitutes only the intro to what was the very core-essence of about 10 minutes in total of what this iconic movie is all about. Cape St Francis .. the Perfect Wave. Early 1960s. And the joy of the Boys riding potentially mile-long, close-in-shore, small-wave 100% perfect pipe-breaks ... with NO-ONE ELSE as competition for the line-up, out in the water, for literally scores of miles & miles around. To this day : this is still the surfer's ultimate dream .. a secret spot.
