she's really amazing.....she was being chosen to sing in this very special event.....i agree with u texaskingandqueen....there are lot of hollywood who could sing in this special event but she was the ONE who made it.....GREAT JOB CHARICE!!!

Ahh this was awesome!! I have been looking at vids of her.. and all of them when its like an american anthem or song or something people are posting comments saying she doesnt have the right to sing the Anthem or something.. Honestly i think it is stupid and people should watch what they say.. I mean isnt it true that america is suposed to be about freedom and what not? and shes singing this at a martin luther king deal.. So it should mean RACE DOESNT MATTER.
I personally think she is awesome!

Well you're right in one way. But let me correct your statement. America is a country. It's not an ethnicity or race. The only real "Americans" are native american indians. The rest is all immigrants from Europe, Asian and everywhere else in the world. But stupid airheads continue to say that you have to be American to sing this song or the National Anthem. Basically, EVERYONE is an immigrant, with a different ethnicity. The only thing that people in American have in common is the CITIZENSHIP.
