@ajdicks I'm not a Donnie Hathaway fan, so I guess that explains it. There is only one other song that i've ever heard him sing, and it's The closer I get to you with Roberta Flack, and I prefer her voice over his.... Just don't like him....

They are comparable in some ways. Karen was the more natural vocal talent doing a very poppy showbiz thing. Donny tapped into more personal emotion. Have you heard his "yesterday" ? it stomps paul mccartney's version into the ground.

I first heard elton john do it.. I loved it. Then I heard leon russell's original which was alright...but THIS is so beautiful, and IMO the best version I've heard
