This is ridiculous. This is turning into an argument about wether or not god is real. Just enjoy the song and respect John lennons views. The point of the song is: I only believe in myself not: god isn't real. Just believe wat u wanna believe and don't bother pll about how there going to burn in iturnity. Ps I like the pll who r joking and make us laugh cuz they distract us from parinoid pll who should just shut the fuck up.

Christianity is a baseless, endlessly creative, contagious, memetic fallacy. Justice is Justice which is why everyone regardless of religion shares similar moralities.
Science is demonstrable reality. Religion and everything else you rely purely on imagination to support is nothing at all. And jesus was a pathetic example of a human sacrifice ritual in which god sacrificed himself to himself to appease himself for wrongs he brought into his own world. How does that make the least bit of sense?

@mysweetstorm, i agree 100 percent. My delusional friend also misses the point of this song. When he told me that the creator of atheism was John Lennon, i almost punched the crap out of him

Boy, he really purged himself of everything, good or bad, that was relevant to his time on this earth....there seems to be an angry undertone to this song. I think he, himself, was the last thing he was so sure about...he really, sadly, had a lot of issues. Hope he found his peace.

I think a lot of the people here are missing the point of the song, judging by these comments...

I personally don't see this as some big anti-religion song. This is more about the fact that the only thing that you can control and be 100% sure about is yourself.

spiritual i think would be more accurate in my opinion u don't have to have any "god" to be spiritual (i mean god in the sense that most ppl perceive it)but regardless of religion a beautiful song that can mean so many different things depending on the individual ,thats the power of good tunes, nothing is set in stone

How can we be so occupied by the idea of god even though the idea don't know of its existence?
