this is one of their best live performances, you can hear the interlude of white noise and droning and then that big, loud wall of sound just comes in and the guitars start jangling beautifully...wow!!

I'm probably gonna offend some people by saying this and I feel kinda embarrased admitting it myself but until recently I used to think MBV were an awful, overtly commercial Emo band. And I thought this because of their name, I mixed them up with 'My Chemical Romance' and that commercial trite. It wasn't until I downloaded their two albums that I realised they are one one of the most important bands of the 1990's and the Shoegazing movement. But now I can't stop listening to them.

Ehehe, this is not a easy thing to admit. I often have a similar problem: a band i like a lot is 'Him' (founded by Codeine's and june of 44's drummer Doug Scharin). The problem is that the same name is also used by an utterly disgusting dark guy from scandinavia, and this confusion often causes hilarity, rage or, even worst, enthousiasm.

by the way, this is my favourite MBV song evah.

Thats not as bad as

Me: "Ah dude, My Bloody Valentine is so fuckin good"

Someone: "Your gay" or "Oh yea they're real good [listens to MBV] Oh i thought you ment Bullet for My Valentine, their better"

Me: "what the fuck..."
