i just saw this movie. overall it was pretty good. there were parts of it that seemed like a big slobbery blowjob to the marines and that was kind of annoying. it was a pretty interesting war story.

Those "slobbery blow job to the marines" parts were what really happened to this soldier, what really went along during his time in the marine corp.

thought the movie was brilliant, definitely realistic in its portrayal, and the acting and direction was amazing.

but after rewatching the trailer, it is annoying that marketing made it look like an epic statement on modern warfare, instead of a philosophical search for purpose and never finding it
