I've seen these live performances so many times but they still send a shiver down my back..

@destanationunknown I would have killed to have been there that night!! I'm curious what my reaction would have been . . . would I have been pissed? I hope not! I hope I would have been amazed and dumbfounded, not knowing what to think or feel . . . What was your reaction? Do you recall? Man . . . Dylan simply did what he wanted to do . . . to hell with everybody else! Can't get much more punk-rock than that! Amazing man . . .

Well since I lived there I was at the festival are from morning to night, I was young but it was a different time. I was at the rehearsel in the afternoon and knew what was coming, it still didn't mean a lot to me, but when it happened that night and the croud booed Dylan in sunk in, it was Holy Crap I just saw a huge moment in music history. iwas 11 when he plugged in, i saw all the shows between 64 and 68.

It wasn't only Dylan, Peter, Paul & mary, Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seger, etc..

Still Dylan was/is one of a kind.

Agreed, His Xmas album this year showed us that, my 15 year old son thinks Dylan is the greatest, which to me is cool.

I was there also. I went to several of the Newport festivals.............I'm now 61 years old and still remember those days.........I used to go see Dylan in "The Village' in the 60's. My days are waning.

it was a wonderfu time andl place to grow up, I meet more stars than I can remember, at both the Jazz and Folk festivals. I watch the video "Dylan Live at Newport" and there is a brief glimpse of a tower in the background, Oh the memories.
