its the men who were watching the girls dance, they were recording from a camera that was close to the floor, so what, they blocked one/ two people, it doesnt mater.
I think it's conceivable that that is on purpose, giving the scene a less totally stagey feel, keeps the scene feeling lively and a bit messy. I actually like it. It's what makes Bob Fosse's directing so genius in 'Cabaret'. Then again maybe it's a mistake.
See, i too enjoy Cabaret for its unneatness, yet in a major dance sceen like this it just kinda pulls me out like when your watching something in the distance thats really cool then someone gets in the way. i find it slightly irritating.
