I still prefer the way he first presented it to the Beatles in 1969, as a kind of Beach Boys spoof. It's a very nice, simple song in that version, with Brian WIlson style piano chords.

That cross my mind too. Its very Brian WIlson especially in the first half and in the second half there small touches in She's leaving home and it ends with would eventually become the Wings sound.

Hey, don't cha reckon he's carried that weight long enough? Time we looked again at early Macca and accepted we *could* be wrong. 'Sitting in the backseat...' is an under-rated classic.
