As for my final comment to you The1Janitor, though you may not see it, is that you'd probably argue that items are cheap with the scenerio of one person benefiting at all times. But that's just not realistic. I've yet to see a match where items just cater to one single player. You get plenty of chances to utilize items in a strategic and fair fashion. Plus, they are legally fair because they are apart of the game. Like wavedashing, even if it's annoying when someone spams something, it's legal.
Honorbound I've tried and tried and tried, I just never will learn. And I'm fine with that. Besides, Brawl won't have wavedashing. I appriciate your help, but that's just how it's going to be.
I don't have a "source." This is a simple definition.
They WANTED you to slide if you air dodged into the level. They programmed it as such. If they hadn't, you would stop moving the moment you hit the ground, or you would air dodge through the level. There would not be a special term for it in the debug mode if this was not the case.
The Ice-Climber's freeze glitch is not a logical extension of the engine, which is why it's a glitch. Wavedashing does not fall into that category.
Well, "landfallspecial" is used for the landing state from air dodge, up-B and certain special moves. It's not an exclusive term for wavedashing, as much as I'd like to see otherwise. On the other hand, it was left in for PAL version even with all of its bugfixes (ICs freeze glitch) taken into consideration, and I'd say that counts for something.
