Actually the beggining is one of the most interesting parts of this piece. Theres so much feeling inside of it.

It really takes time to realize how this Ballade is the ultimate masterpiece and balance of the other three ballades.
few years ago i always thought the first one was the best (very showy, little breaks and down time in between), but now i realize this piece is an even more ingenius creation by Chopin.

Of course the beginning of this piece has really bored ppl, even me before. after listening for so long u can recognize how it shows a deeper and sophisticated feel compared to the other pieces

=) i would like to think of this ballade a story of love. betrayal of love.

The very start is a dream.
the "boring" beginning 0:46 is the love that the main charater is seeking. Although he somehow finds it. But ultimately they went out of control.

whats your interpretation?

As Chopin said himself, the four ballades are written on poems of his friend and compatriot Misckievitz - at least as inspiration.

The story of the 4th is about four brothers. The space isn't enough to write it here.

Unforunetely not. I heard it in a radio broadcast before many years.
Search about the relation of Chopin and Misckievitz (if I write the name right) - I hope you to find something...
