you should definitely try playing the rythym guitar part, in 5/4 and be in sync with the rest of the band.

count the main rhythm guitar part. it goes two measures of 5/4 and then a measure of 2/4.

but if your counting poly rhythms it could also be 12/4. but i'm pretty sure the drums are accenting 5/4

the drums are playing 6/4.
ur right.
but i'm still pretty sure that guitar is going 12345 12345 12 two times, which makes twelve, which is 6/4 twice.

It amazes me how quickly Mclaughlin's ability increased. Compare his solo work (DEVOTION) to this album, and you hear a big difference.
