1. 開端 (アル・ファーティハ)

章の説明:
本章はクルアーンの冒頭の序説で，開端〔アル・ファーティハ〕章と名付けられ，マッカ時代最初期の啓示の一つである。これは全クルアーンの精髄であり，また強い祈りの語気をおび，アッラーが示された祈り方の模範である。われわれがアッラーを讃え，アッラーと人間の関係を(隈?)想し，または礼拝を捧げるときなど，日頃つねに唱えるので，7つの繰り返される諸節の章，礼拝の章，祈りの章などとも呼ばれる。また讃美，謝恩，本源，至宝，一切，治療などと多くの章名で呼ばれている。

およそアッラーヘの讃美が，われわれの深奥の（魂）から発するならば，それはアッラーの御心と合致するのは自然である。すなわち讃美の誠を傾けて礼拝を捧げることによって魂は高揚される。そこには真と善との調和があって，あらゆる悪や不幸は締め出される。アッラーを明確に意識して，御前にまかり出で（第1，2，3節），その無限の偉力，有り難さの中にひたり，いちずに服従，帰依しまつり，アッラーの導きと助けの下に（第4 節），正しい心の持ち方行為のあり方を自然のうちに会得し（第5，6，7節），正しい道を行く，イスラームの秩序ある平安な日常生活がうちたてられる。かくしてアッラーの恩恵を十分に与えられ，現世および来世において至上の幸福を成就することになる。

1. 慈悲あまねく慈愛深きアッラーの御名において。

2. 万有の主，アッラーにこそ凡ての称讃あれ，

3. 慈悲あまねく慈愛深き御方，

4. 最後の審きの日の主宰者に。

5. わたしたちはあなたにのみ崇め仕え，あなたにのみ御助けを請い願う。

6. わたしたちを正しい道に導きたまえ，

7. あなたが御恵みを下された人々の道に，あなたの怒りを受けし者，また踏み迷える人々の道ではなく。
