one of my favourite pianists. and 3:36 is one of the most beautiful parts of this piece (and maybe in chopin's entire piano oeuvre), and zimerman plays it magnificent!
This tempo is insane (in a good way) but sometimes I wish it wasn't supposed to be played so fast because some of the really beautiful parts are missed when you just zoom through them.
When the softer part starts around 3:30...that second chord is a Dmajor7...I want to hear more C#!!
I'd have to say my favorite part of this piece is this recurring theme with the triplets-it's very Bach because of the different voices. I love the bottom voice and I'm glad Zimerman makes it pretty noticeable.
