Mike-I have been a huge Maura fan since someone introduced me to "Helpless Heart" (check my comments on that vid). I have all of her discs, I recommend "Helpless Heart" and "Stories" as the best. Welcome to a new fan!
I have just discovered Maura. What a moving voice, strong, sensitive intonation.....wonderful. Can anyone give some background on her please. I have a feeling she is going to be an important part of my musical life now.
The sensitivity in these two brilliant singer, songwriters gives me chills everytime I hear this version. In re to where is Maura now, she is in Nashville along with Nanci and many other tremendously talented artists!
Maura is in Ireland saw her last night in Limerick with the RTE concert orchestra. It was brilliant but a pity the concert hall was only half full. She's in Leisureland Galway tonight 16th October. I highly recommend anyone who likes music to go You will not be disappointed.
