I'm with you brother. I'm against gun control, huge govt., and the taxes that go with it. On the other hand I'm pro religious freedom, against this phony war on drugs and would like to see our prison system radically changed. So I guess I'm a conservative/liberal, waste hating, above the law hating American. Yeah I'm a US Vietnam era veteran paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne Div.

race, you make a good point. nation states have become, for the most part, corrupt machines. east AND west. if i'm reading you right, nation states are incompatible with emerging global realities, virtual relics of the past who haven't yet figured it out. (i don't mean to put words in your mouth) what scares the hell out of me is the thought of losing my sovereignty to an entity like the UN, which couldn't find it's collective ass with both hands. it;s the lesser of two evils for me.
